Voice

Tokyo born Toru Takemitsu (1930-1996) was first exposed to western classical music during military service in the 40’s. He later became a leading member of the western avant-garde community and one of the leading 20th-century Japanese composers. Voice for solo flute is a complex, challenging piece, and imitates the use of a traditional Japanese flute. AMEB AMUSA level.
