Clarinet Concerto No. 2 in E flat major Op. 57 – for Clarinet and Piano

$53.95

Although the concerts of Louis Spohr belong to the standard repertoire of clarinetists, suffered this painful lack of reliable expenditure. To close this gap, the G. Henle Verlag presents a critical edition of the Second Concerto in E flat major after the first Concerto in C minor (HN 995). As the only one of Spohr’s four clarinet concertos, the work is enchanted by the serene tone and joy of playing – especially in the Alla Polacca finale. Hard to believe that this is the first Urtext edition of this concert presented! In addition to the first edition of Leipzig in 1822, Ullrich Scheideler also uses an important early manuscript for the edition. The newly created piano reduction by Christoph Sobanski convinces with its easy playability.
