Laissez les bons temps rouler! was commissioned by the World Saxophone Congress, and sponsored by UniStage and Creative Scotland.
Premiered by Branford Marsalis, and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Clark Rundell, on July 10th 2012, Younger Hall, St Andrews, Scotland, as part of the World Saxophone Congress XVI (Artistic Director Richard Ingham).

Subsequently developed by the composer in conjunction with Claude Delangle, including a fully notated solo part (the original solo part included sections for improvisation), the revised Concerto was premiered in July 2017 at Casa da Musica, Porto, Portugal by Claude Delangle and the Orquestra Clássica do Centro, conducted by Jose Eduardo Gomes, as part of EurSax (Artistic Director Henrique Portovedo).

The world premiere recording of this piano reduction version of the piece is included on the new album HOME, performed by Joao Pedro Silva and Pedro Vieira de Almeida. The piano reduction was made by Simon Parkin.
