For many years Humes & Berg offered their range of stonelined mutes which brought a different (perhaps warmer or more muted) feel to a straight mute. Now they also offer the classic straight mute in an aluminium body.
The aluminium body adds a certain brightness and zing to the sound and is preferred by some players. It has a very crisp and precise attack and like all Humes & Berg mutes has minimal effect on the intonation of your Trumpet or Cornet.
