Fantaisie

$35.95

George Hue was asked to compose a piece for the 1913 end of year recital at the Paris Conservatoire. Fantasie was the result dedicated to the legendary Paul Taffanel and showcasing the new new technical and expressive capabilities of the then new Boehm flute. It opens with an cadenza-like passage, followed by a charming lyrical melody in compound meter and concludes with and a fast and intricate finale. Grade 8 level.
