Howarth 20C Oboe

The Howarth S20C model oboe is an intermediate conservatoire instrument designed for the student player. It features some more advanced oboe keywork options than the Junior and Junior PLUS+ Conservatoire models, but is still significantly lighter in weight than our professional models. The keywork is all covered hole to make it easier for younger players and those with smaller hands to navigate the full range of the instrument.

Howarth S20C comes in 4 different body types to suit different players and conditions:
– Standard model in the same traditional Grenadilla wood as our professional model oboes.
– The VT (Velvet Tone) model, lined from the top of the instrument to the first finger hole, to protect the top joint from cracking.
– Synthetic top joint model makes this instrument crack proof while maintaining a full and rich tone.
– Fully synthetic body model for crack free easy maintenance, while maintaining a full and rich tone.

An ideal upgrade from the Howarth Junior Conservatoire Oboe or Junior PLUS+ Conservatoire model, the S20C model will take players comfortably up to advanced student level.
