Jazz in Time – Trumpet and Piano

Jazz in Time was designed for developing brass players looking for extra repertoire that is both fun to play and helpful in developing the skills required in jazz playing – those of good rhythmic awareness, stylish attention to detail and strong reading.

The piano parts are also intended to both be educational to the more Classically trained performer to teach jazz skills and to the typical busy brass teacher who hasn’t quite honed advanced piano skills.

Each piece uses elements of harmonic progression from an established melody.
